If you are serious about improving your golf game and overall fitness then you NEED to work with Marie. She has played a HUGE part in my recovery from spinal fusion and has not only made me aware of some physical limitations I have but given me a plan to fix them.
Being a TPI Certified Golf Professional myself, it has been refreshing to work with a professional like Marie Hall. I have met many TPI Certified Professionals, but Marie’s knowledge and ability to identify a client’s weaknesses, are what places he apart from others and produces excellent results. I’m confident whenever I refer one of my students to Marie, they will receive positive results and I will see it reflected in their golf swing.

I have always been into fitness in addition to my passion for golf. I played hockey and trained at the gym since age 10. After I turned 35, I began losing distance on my shots. Over the next few years I was hitting a high, weak fade and despite numerous lessons I could not turn the ball over or regain my distance. I tried everything but couldn’t get the power back, worse yet I started getting back pain after playing 18. I began to accept that my game would continue regress with age. It was at that time my club pro recommended Marie. I was skeptical she could help as I have trained with many people over the years without benefiting my golf game. He advised she had cured his shoulder pain and given him new found power.
After my initial assessment, Marie found a few areas where I lacked the proper power or flexibility to execute a pain free well balanced swing. She worked with me to add exercises and stretches specific for my body and swing. Within weeks I saw significant changes in my swing. My Pro noticed them also and I was able to implement his lessons. I would meet with Marie every week or two and we would test my flexibility and power. We would then work on new exercises to continue my progression. The exercises she gave me were simple and could be done in my home or a gym. I still work with her years later because the results are amazing. I am two irons longer then I was twenty years ago and more accurate. The changes Marie made to my body have allowed me to put my lessons to use on the course. I now play pain free and returned to a single digit handi cap. Further, I have recommended Marie to many people and the have all improved their game. If you put the work in you will see results. However, the most satisfying part of the experience is blowing the ball past all my golf buddies who used to out drive me.
Before working with Marie, I had torn tendons in both elbows and my back was beginning to aggravate me after 18 holes. I was 56 years old and the Physical Therapists told me that I was build for north south movement, not rotational movement therefore my golf swing was pushing all the stress to my back and elbows. My handicap had moved from 6 to 12 and I was losing distance and becoming more inconsistent. I thought that I was just getting old and better prepare to start seeing the game I loved slip away from me.
My pro referred me to Marie so I took a flyer and started working with her. We worked all thru the winter of 2012 and 2013. The results were nothing short of exciting. Even in my first five rounds, I could tell that my accuracy was improved and distance was better. More importantly, I could not do things with my swing that my Pro had been trying to get me to do for years – I guess my body just wasn’t able to do it. Thru the course of the 2013 season, my back never hurt after golf and despite years of fighting my elbows, I had no problems with either one. My handicap came back down from 12 to 8 despite putting problems – can’t blame that on Marie.
All in all, working with Marie was a success and I am planning to start back with her this winter. Her knowledge of what makes your body work is amazing and although at first I was skeptical, I am now a convert. If you love the game and want to get better or simply enjoy golf and find that your body is starting to get in the way, go see Marie and see if she can help. Chances are that she can and will.
I am 58 years old and an avid competitive golfer. I have arthritis and overuse problems in my back, hands and shoulders. I have been working with Marie over the course of the last two years. She has helped me significantly improve my golf game and, more importantly, has significantly improved my quality of life. I have worked with other professional trainers and find Marie to be more knowledgable and comprehensive in her approach to functional fitness. Finally, you will not find a nicer, kinder, more committed young women to work with. I highly recommend her and would be happy to talk to you about my experience.
